The Oregon Student Association is a coalition of student governments dedicated to the representation, service and protection of the collective interest of students in post-secondary education since 1975.
The Oregon Student Association uses EE as a CMS to provide content that is tuned to the person visiting. Members with login access are provided with extra information throughout the site based on who they are. The Oregon Student Association (OSA) is actually a conglomerate of student organizations that include the OSA, the Oregon Students of Color Coalition (OSCC), and the Oregon Student Equal Rights Alliance (OSERA). Each organization has its own site within the main site and content is shared among them when appropriate.
A site-wide Event Calendar allows members to add events themselves that are then placed in a queue for review before going live on the site. There is also a full-featured online-forum and a publications area that allows visitors to sign up for newsletters and other publications that are sent through email as well as archived on the site. In addition, we programmed a custom survey that collects data into an SQL database that will then export to MS Excel for later analysis. Later we also added a photo gallery and sub-sites for OSERA and Northwest Student Leadership Conference (NWSLC).
Launch: September 2006
