Founder & Principal Consultant: Kurt Deutscher

Kurt spent over a decade working in public education before serving in a number of executive, management, fund-development and leadership roles in diverse organizations including Volunteers of America, Earth Share, United Way, the Oregon Zoo and public radio. He has been a small business owner for over 19 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Communications from Concordia University and is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and past chair of the Multnomah Education Service District Foundation. Kurt is the Founder and Principal Consultant at NetRaising.

Web Associate: Nina Wooster
Nina has been immersed in the topics of cognition, language, childhood development, and communication for over two decades. With an initial Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, research positions at both Catholic University and Oregon Health & Science University inspired her to obtain a Master’s in Education and later, an Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems.
As her family grew, so did her involvement in TAG, special education, charter schools, and home schooling. She eventually accepted a position at Marylhurst Early Childhood Center, fulfilling roles as master teacher and parent educator. Nina relied heavily on computer-related technology to develop curriculum, document learning, and enhance communication with parents, and eventually her position expanded to providing technological support to staff and administration.
Since Marylhurst, Nina has worked as a programmer and web developer, continuing her strong interest in the use of technology to both facilitate communication and build community.

Senior Web Associate: Jamie Poitra
Jamie has over 10 years of experience in the technology sector, including work in web design, tech support and most recently in quality assurance for a major international technology provider.
His diverse background includes being an Eagle Scout, lifeguard, swimming instructor, fish packer, handyman, schoolteacher, park ranger, natural history instructor and professional artist. Mr. Poitra is a graduate of the University of Portland Honor’s Program and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Web Associate: Morgan Grether
Morgan has been helping nonprofits build and maintain their websites since 1999. He is a teacher, a trainer, a webmaster, a graphic designer, a grant writer, a strategic planner, and a passionate advocate for the work of nonprofits in general.
He holds a Ph.D. in English from Claremont Graduate University and has worked at several universities including the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. You can often find him sauntering through the Oregon Zoo with his daughter.

Graphic Design Associate: Maria Pappas
Maria is an award-winning designer, creative director, and small business owner for 25 years. She creates design solutions for brand identity, corporate communications, marketing, advertising, catalogs, web design and packaging.
She provides compelling work for any size organization including past work for: John Hancock Insurance and Financial Services, Houghton Mifflin Publishing, Bose Corporation, Aetna Insurance, Points of Light Foundation, the National Association of Grant Makers and AmeriCorps, as well as many high-tech, and real estate firms. Maria is a graduate of the New England School of Art and Design in Boston.

Web Associate: Ken Statham
Ken has over a decade of web experience including roles as webmaster for Fujitsu PC and Press Room Manager at Intel where he was responsible for moving Intel’s press information from a static website to a dynamic CMS format.
He has also been working with the Feldenkrais Guild of North America (FGNA) on a comprehensive redesign of its website, and completed the organization’s transition to an electronic newsletter, saving thousands of dollars a year in printing costs, many hours of staff time and hundreds of pounds of paper each year.
Ken is married with four children and is based in Pollock Pines, California. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from San Jose State University.

Business Manager: Carrie Rambo
Carrie is a poised business administrator who holds over two decades of office management and systems development expertise. Her 12+ years of paralegal work in the areas of litigation and probate law brings the know-how and tenacity needed for our growing business. She continues to pass along her knowledge as a frequent guest speaker for legal-assistant training programs.
Carrie is equally hardworking in her attention to the arts. For more than 25 years she has been an active performer in countless operas, plays and musicals. She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association and the American Guild of Musical Artists, is an award-winning songwriter, has sung with the Oregon Symphony and the critically acclaimed Portland Opera Chorus, and sings with several local jazz and swing bands.
She has a gregarious sense of humor and has also enjoyed past employment working in the film industry and as a copy editor for a daily paper. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Acting from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Music from Excelsior University.

Web Associate: Brent Wilson
Brent is a self-taught web developer with over a decade of experience including creating and maintaining websites for a number of popular youth sports teams and organizations.
He has worked as a Research Associate at the University of Nebraska Public Policy Center, and as Data/Communications Specialist in Academic Affairs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Brent is a tireless promoter of Lincoln, Nebraska and is active in the community. When he isn’t at his computer, he is probably blowing the whistle at a youth, high school, adult amateur, or college soccer match. Brent loves to eat, and he has never met a burrito he didn’t like.
Brent lives with his wife Sadie, son Robert, and dog Daisy in Lincoln, Nebraska. He holds a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
