Kurt has served in the nonprofit sector for over 35 years. His diverse career includes a decade of work in public education (music and environmental science), and serving in program directorship, management, volunteer program development, fund development, executive, and leadership roles at Volunteers of America Oregon, Earth Share Oregon, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, and the Oregon Zoo.

His volunteer work includes chairing the Multnomah Education Service District Foundation board, being a Voting Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, past board member of the Jazz Society of Oregon, and as a public radio host at KMHD radio.

He has been a small business owner for over 35 years and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Communications from Concordia University.

Kurt is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Founder and Principal Consultant at NetRaising.

Maria is an award-winning designer and creative director with over 35 years of experience; 22 of those years as the principal of Pappas Design.

She creates design solutions for brand identities, websites, online communications, marketing collateral, advertising, and packaging for clients all over the country.

Maria provides compelling work for small firms, non-profit organizations, and national accounts, including John Hancock, Houghton Mifflin, Bose Corporation, National Points of Light Foundation, Aetna Insurance, Kodak, United Way, Iron Mountain, and AmeriCorps.

She is a graduate of Suffolk University’s New England School of Art and Design in Boston, MA.

Carrie Rambo

Carrie is a poised business administrator with many years of office management and systems development expertise. Her 12+ years of paralegal work in the areas of litigation and probate law brings the know-how and tenacity needed for our growing business.

Carrie is equally hardworking in her attention to the arts. She has been an active performer in several operas, plays, and musicals. She is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association and the American Guild of Musical Artists, is an award-winning songwriter, and has sung with the Oregon Symphony, the critically acclaimed Portland Opera Chorus, and several local jazz and swing bands.

Carrie has also enjoyed past employment working in the film industry and as a copy editor for a daily paper. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Acting from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Music from Excelsior College, University of the State of New York.

Carrie’s past volunteer work has included time with the SMART (Start Making a Reader Today) Program, as well as serving as board president of the Transformational Voice Institute (later named Vox Academy, and now operating as Our Song Artists) in 2012-2013.

Megan McFarland-Waldrop

Megan brings a wide variety of experience to her work as both a graphic and web designer. Her career has included maintaining her freelance design business while also volunteering her talents to nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity, Remember Nhu, and Word Made Flesh.

Megan spent over 2 years in the corporate marketing department of Holiday Retirement supporting over 300 senior living communities, first as a graphic designer, and then as the Creative Services Manager. It was while coding the interface for Holiday’s marketing materials storefront and rebuilding websites for Word Made Flesh that she began enjoying web design and development.

Since 2016, Megan has been the primary consultant and developer for dozens of NetRaising website properties and assisted in the development of many more. She has had the opportunity to create logos, marketing material, truck-wraps, and other print designs for clients; and provided a diverse pool of NetRaising clients with ongoing technical support, consultation, software training, maintenance, and migrations.

Megan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.
