When Your Organization Needs More Than One Website

NetRaising Can Create a Hub-and-Spoke Website Community for You

Hub and Spoke Website IllustrationWhen the Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO) needed to split its website into two distinct properties and three functional areas, it turned to NetRaising.

NetRaising has been creating and maintaining feature-rich hub-and-spoke website networks since 2005. Some of our larger networks connect dozens of websites to each other, and allow for both centralized and local website administration, and include benefits such as the ability to push and pull content to either the hub or spokes.

Our hub-and-spoke website networks allow multiple websites to share the same hosting account and a single installation of content management software (CMS). This creates real savings in the costs of maintaining the CMS, adding future website features, consulting, training, and hosting.

Hub-and-spoke website networks work well for national or regional organizations that need multiple localized websites. NetRaising has created one for a large school district that needed both a district website to act as an information hub, and separate sites for each of its schools. We also built one for the Oklahoma Blood Institute with a single hub and two spokes sites for Texas and Arkansas.

Sometimes an organization may have such distinctive web audiences and programming, that it needs multiple websites even though they may be managed by a single person. In this kind of implementation, the hub and each spoke act as a stand-alone website to visitors, while sharing a common administrative area within the CMS.

If your organization has considered consolidating its many websites into one solution or is about to add a few websites to its inventory and would like to simplify things as much as possible, please contact us and we’ll talk you through the many options you have. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
