The Special Projects Fund (SPF) was created in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to provide a mechanism for AAUW of Oregon 501(c)(4) branches to fund and facilitate AAUW mission-based community projects for women and girls.

AAUW’s mission is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. AAUW of Oregon promotes advocacy, takes action to empower women and girls, and connects National AAUW with branch members. The SPF supports these missions by promoting gender equity, education, and development opportunities for women and girls throughout Oregon that enable them to realize their full potential.
